This year Ekstremsportveko needed some updates. It resulted in a new backend written in Rust and Go serving data to the app.

Also, the app itself has received maintenance, pushing towards version 3 of Flutter and updated UI with new features.

  • Rust backend supporting highlights
  • Go backend for Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • App got a new UI
    • Highlights (Instagram-ish feed of popular events)
    • New menu (made a move to a side menu accessible from a hamburger)
    • Better overview of messages pushed to the client
    • Search feature for events and locations
